Something weird going on with those video shots of Johnson and Carrie both entering and then leaving St Pauls yesterday. I did not watch it live but saw them later, with the emphasis on him being booed very loudly. But now, am seeing claims that this looks like it has all been edited with the booing actually added later on. Anybody else seen similar? Along with commentary being switched around? Looking into this more, it's actually the other way around. The live coverage contained booing and references to booing.. this was later repeated .. however in following repeats of it the booing audio was significantly dialled down, and the commentary over the footage was changed around to remove reference to the 'substantial booing'. The two versions are here [Link]

Speaking as an outsider, of sorts, if their was a vote of no confidence in Boris, and he won, wouldn't it be worse for the Tories with the opinion polls so bad, isn't it like a kick in the teeth too the Tory voter if he wasn't replaced, i have voted for both main party's in the past.

Lanzo-Ad, some good points. Firstly a groundswell of Tory opinion for a vote of NC appear to be gathering momentum, if you believe the papers.

When Mrs May was PM the media kept telling us that the Brexit MP rebels had the numbers to topple her, they didn't for a long time. Many MPs will tell the media in confidence what they want to hear but when it comes to an open vote it is a different matter. I have no doubt that Johnson will go before the next election the problem his party faces is who will lead them into that GE and more importantly win. It's not that Johnson has the full support of the party rather there is no obvious alternative. If they do succeed it getting rid of him it maybe a gift for Labour. Who knows anything anymore? I have seen claim and counter claim around this (the first was around the booing and commentary being added after the event). We live in a world in which facts are increasingly becoming a fragmented reality. I don't know who to trust because almost everybody in politics is now up to their necks in this kind of chicanery.

Jabob yesterday said Bungle had a good victory , but a couple of years ago he asked Theresa May to stand down after getting more votes in her no confidence vote-is this the best we can do in the cabinet? Someone who can"t count?

Ministers have acted improperly by questioning the legitimacy of judges when they do not get their own way, creating an impression that recent supreme court decisions favourable to the government may have been a response to political pressure, a parliamentary inquiry has found. Today’s latest disaster for the government. Includes 7 direct examples of apparent swaying of judicial decisions. In some of the seven decisions since 2020 in which the APPGDC said the supreme court had made “reversals” of previous decisions in relation to the government, the inquiry said that the court “appears to adopt similar language to that used in the [government’s] political talking points”

You make me laugh.
