I have that very same photogragh on the wall just in front of me now, the whole reason i support palace is because of Alan Birchenall, my sisters went to school with his cousin in East Ham and they promsed to take me to meet him , i grew up in West Ham but to this day i never new that he was born and probably grew up so close to me. What was the year that Palace played Everton and Mel Blyth Was Sent Off along with Alan whittle for Everton and soon after Alan Whittle became a Palace player.
