Steve, many thanks for answering our questions at this tough time. My question is this: Sir Steve Coppell took years to build his great team, and I wonder if we will ever be able to have that luxury again. Now, if we have a good run the manager moves on to a better job. Under threat of relegation, fans get on the manager's back and he has to go. No long-term-successful manager has ever been sacked during his first season. If you felt you had the right man, is it possible to stick by him should we not be getting the desired results? Once the manager has lost the fans, is it still possible for the board to support him or is there no way back? Very best of luck with the forthcoming process.

Steve, many thanks for answering our questions at this tough time.

My question is this: Sir Steve Coppell took years to build his great team, and I wonder if we will ever be able to have that luxury again. Now, if we have a good run the manager moves on to a better job. Under threat of relegation, fans get on the manager's back and he has to go.

No long-term-successful manager has ever been sacked during his first season. If you felt you had the right man, is it possible to stick by him should we not be getting the desired results? Once the manager has lost the fans, is it still possible for the board to support him or is there no way back?

Johnny had gone already when we took over. Alan Lee we got an offer and the manager was happy to accept it,if he hadnt then Alan wouldnt be sold.

Steve The definition of insanity is "doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results". Is part of your decision influenced by the need to shake things up and try a different approach with essentially the same resources? It is only a personal view but I think you gave GB enough time. Had there been signs that things were improving people may have felt he was harshly treated (like Chris Hughton) but there were few signs that Palace were a team making progress in recent months. One last question: When do you anticipate naming a successor to GB? Thanks for coming online and communicating with the fans Steve. Fonte, moses, derry, hill... all 4 would walk into the side at present.

Fonte was sold in January as was Victor, after that did we lose more games than anyone in the football league. did we concede more goals than anyone in the football league?
