In a way I find that a relief, as his dismissal doesnt now smack of short-termism but rather having a longer-term vision. You now have the challenge of maintaining that, whilst finding someone who can keep the ship afloat this season. I wish you every success in finding the right man for the job! How hard is it to replace two journeymen in Derry and Hill?

Perhaps GB underestimated the impact their personalities had on galvanising the squad when looking at those we had left. It is a fair point Steve makes - and many people have been saying all season that we needed to replace them. We all hoped Davids was going to step into the Derry role.

Hi Steve Sorry it's been such a bad day for everyone. It's great of you to come on here on today of all days. I've stood by GB throughout but today was the final straw. We just haven't got the basics right. All the best teams are built from the back and our defence has been shocking this season. I think the players stopped believing in him too. We're all fully behind you, Martin, Stephen and Jeremy. Take a little time to reflect before appointing the new man. Hoping you have a good shortlist and the chance to make a strong appointment.

Thats a very fair point Steve. Maybe he was to eager to bring his own players in and subsequently has run out of time trying to make them gel. I hope you can get someone like Hughton, young, fresh and knows our league. Yes could be a gamble but anyone else would be a gamble too.

Thats a very fair point Steve. Maybe he was to eager to bring his own players in and subsequently has run out of time trying to make them gel.

I hope you can get someone like Hughton, young, fresh and knows our league. Yes could be a gamble but anyone else would be a gamble too.
