I hope CPFC2010 have moved on from Eddie Howe and turned their attention to people who may actually want the job of managing CPFC.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

From the echo blog: "Matt lawrence has tweeted that palaces offer was very poor and has led the way for charlton to get him. If you really want the guy why offer him such a sh*t contract"

Can any tweeters confirm this?

CPFC2010 tell Howe to do one, anyone who can go to the Clowns, even for an interview, is Not worthy...Come on Freedman no1. Let's get a move on......!

Grow up.

Lol, at 43 being told to grow up...! Muppet

So he can't go and have an interview with another club?

Like I said...

Freedom of choice, I agree, but Charlton!! Also was not impressed with his interviews about being torn.. (no eye contact) did not look comfortable.

When I took my current job I had two offers and I was open about them with my boss at the time. He was very apologetic he couldn't offer me more money to stay.

My point is that EH, like all of us, is entitled to look at the offers on the market and if he concludes that the job he has is better - or his employer increases his pay and his job is better - then he has the right to decide to stay put.

He's not a CPFC fan like we are, so his decision has to be logical and correct for him and his family. I would rather he said "no" now, than join and then naff off after a couple of months.

If indeed he's out of the running, that's fine, CPFC2010 just need to go back to their list and review the others - or if there's no-one else they were keen on, give Dougie a bit more time (and some transfer cash) whilst they look.

Exactly.

It would appear he has wasted CPFC's time without ever having any serious intention of being the club's manager.

Fingers crossed we get Keith Hill (despite Rochdale denying any approach being made).
