dont post if u dont care. simple. and i care because burnley are no bigger than us

Yes they are. They have massive history, more money (especially with Parachute Payments), better players, a better league position, average attendance 2,000 better than us and one in five (approx) Burnley residents go to each game.

Huge, football town and, like it or not, a bigger club than us.

A completely understandable decision from Howe - his mistake was declaring his loyalty to Bournemouth just a couple of days ago. Very naive.

bang on...loads of people on this board seem to think we are bigger than we are.

whereas in reality clubs like burnley, charlton, southampton etc etc do have more pulling power and are bigger clubs.

im not putting our beloved palace down jsut looking at things with eyes wide open, rather than thru rose tinted glasses.

Very true, we all think palace are a big glamorous London club, because we are partizan, but the bigger picture is, we are in the minority who think that..

Sadly, you are right Brauny but even sadder is that just over 30 seasons ago we were officially the sixth best supported club in the country.

Burnley currently are a bigger team, with a suprisingly large support basis.

But I'd rather live in a barrel in C**king's backside than even go back to Burnley for the day. It makes being a Bagdad Market Vender seem a decent prospect.

Thats the thing Kerm. This club always has had a huge fanbase but unless we are ownned by a wealthy arab and build a new stadium and a world class team we won't ever see that fanbase.

If the above happened we would get 40,000 every home game.

You only have to look at Middlesbrough. I went to Ayresome Park when we one the div 1 title in 1993/94 season. There were 6,500 there of which 2,000 were Palace fans. Suddenly they get a huge cash injection and a new stadium and there getting 35,000 every week!!

(They don't get those numbers now!)

Can only begin to imagine how Bournemouth's supporters must feel.

Howe's played them, and us good and proper. Hope he has a dismal time at Burnley.

I feel really sorry for Bournemouth fans. In a daft way I was pleased Howe rejected us as it restored my faith in the game and made me believe there was some loyalty and integity left in the game. 48 hours later I just feel sad!

Dougie Freedman wouldn't do that to us! I hope!

If he turns out to be sh*t hot and a bigger club comes a-knocking, then I'm afraid it's inevitable.
