New Labour? Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!

Bend over and take it up the arse Labour!

Maggie might not have been perfect but Christ alive anyone who thinks the state this country is in is because of anyone other than Blair & Strangely Brown are deluded!

Ha ha ha ha ha ha I laugh at my country's demise cos otherwise I'll cry!

^^^^^

Another child of Thatcher *sigh*

Sorry mate but the generation before me kept voting her in so as an 80's child I had no choice really, but I guess that's my fault?!

I've never had any money, probably never will yet think Thatcher was a great ol' gal. So anyone who thinks only the 'rich' liked her can do one!

But - the mark of a great person is whether or not you are liked or hated by the biggest c*nt to ever grace gods green earth - George Galloway. He f*cking hates Thatcher which just makes me love her even more.

God bless Thatcher.
And God bless us all when Labour go back in to power or heaven forbid The Hippy party (yes, the Lib Dems) go to power and let every Tom, Dick & Mohammed run riot (politically correct sentance there so no one accuses me of being a racist - you know how those hippies get!).

Being born only in the 80's myself I can only really look at how the things she did affect my generation and the situation with selling off the council housing has, to my mind, been one of her worst offences. It was myopic in the extreme and has had a direct impact on my life. For that, above all, I shall never forgive her.

Wrong...it meant milions of people could buy their own homes and therefore climb onto the housing market (Ask Gusset)

R.I.P Maggie. Never will there be someone so strong in power and a female with bigger balls than men. She will always be remembered and won the Falklands war.
She converted people from Labour as well which speaks volumes.

Of course the trouble with that is the money was never used to replace teh very same social housing that was lost and as a direct, and inescapable consequence, the same number of people have never been able to get housing.

Still it resonates with one of Thatcher's mantras of self, self, self.

I think you will find it was the armed services and their civilian counter-parts that actually won the war. She took the major decisions, but it was they who died, got injured and were harmed in our , not her, name.

I could be wrong but didn't the Kent and Nottinghamshire miners - who went against the strike and basically behaved and didn't do anything to upset Thatcher - get shafted too?

You are very wrong about the Kent miners. They stayed solid, with 95% still on strike in Feb 1985, compared with 14% in Notts. The three Kent pits were all gone by 1989.
