I saw Johnny Rotten in London just before lock down. People were getting equipment out of his car that was parked up on the pavement on Victoria Street.

His car was a s***ty Ford Galaxy and he was wearing a dirty old union jack balzer.

He looked f***ing cool. Shame they were before my time.

Top 3 would be:

1. Prodigy at Warriors Dance Festival in Belgrade in 2012.
2. GnR at Download 2018.
3. Slipknot in Glasgow 2020

Would add an honourable mention to The Interrupters this year. Well worth seeing.

Flaming Lips around the time of 2004 at Hammersmith Apollo!
A mad gig with lots of visuals as well as great songs. And they throw very big inflatable balls into the audience so you always have to be aware of when they’re bouncing your way.

Pink is worthy of a mention too. She puts on one hell of an energetic show!

I've been to some wonderful gigs, but most, and best, were long, long ago.

Memorable for different reasons. Pink Floyd at Eel Pie Island and Alexandra Palace 14 Hour Technicolour Dream in 1967 were so different at the time.

Bob Dylan at the Albert Hall in 1966 because the show changed who he was.

Jimi Hendrix at The Marquee in 67 stands out as a landmark show. Just amazing to be there. That club had it all.

Also can't forget all the Tuesday nights in the 60s at Wallington Public Hall getting close to all the newly arrived groups. The Hollies, Searchers, Stones etc all were there except the Beatles. They called off when they became more popular.

Oh, nearly forgot. Dave Clark Five played Wallington too.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.
