maxipalace? Wouldn't take much notice anyway, don't think he posts anything positive about us. As for todays game it was not our strongest team and Mccarthy was starting. (I'm not blaming him) We played the cup holders away from home so they were always gonna be more up for it. We do need 3 quality players in tho.

We may have lost to a championship side but we didn't have Jedi ,wardy, bolasie , or gabbidon playing which would have made us a lot more solid and another threat in bolasie

I think it's always been clear we need better players, but we have to balance that with the clubs financial stability. It would be foolhardy to risk the financial stability of the club by overspending.

Would that be a championship side that spent many seasons in the top league reaping the financial benefits that come with being in the prem ? Would it be the same team that received a hefty parachute payment that enabled them to hold onto a lot of their players and add one of man.u's brightest young talents ? Wigan had a bad time In the league last season, but are still miles in front of us in terms of infrastructure to be a prem team. We are still just riding the crest of a wave and hanging on by the skin of our teeth. If we can survive it, we may stand a chance of getting to where Wigan have been, but definitely no shame in losing to them today.

Who was it said we dont need any new players?? We definatly need a few new players but I wouldn't get too wound up about being beat by a championship side. I'm dissapointed as a cup run would have been nice, but making sure a few players are rested for Tuesday is more important at the moment.
