Evening all, I'm currently writing an article comparing the cost of Arsenal's XI and Palace's XI that is pretty much just me moaning about "Modern Football" for 1500 words. I can't find any information on how much we paid for Johnny or Yannick and was wondering if anyone may remember?

Yeah, YB was 300k (steal) and I remember the figure of 400k being quoted around the time we signed Parr but it is down officially as undisclosed. May be wrong. Our whole squad was less than Ozil I can tell you that for a fact. Put a link for article when you're done. Would be a good read. Have a few Arsenal fan mates (unfortunately) and would like to show them. On a slightly different note a teacher of mine was at the game Sunday and said he was 'blown away' by our support, best he can remember apparantly! Bring on Saturday.

I think even Cardiff's two signings Medel and Cornelius cost more than our entire squad. Could be wrong, its definitely close though.. Any mathematicians here?

Ozil is one of the world best footballers, proven by being one of the stars of the world cup and constantly starting for real madrid. Parr and Bolasie are not. Arsenal are champions league regular and title contenders year on year, I do really see what there is to compare with a club who signed these 2 players in the space of 24 months after the club nearly being liquidated. Some clubs are richer than others, ARsenal also live within their means every year

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |
