The recent situation concerning Lee Hills, a fantastic player with a very good future never having a chance because of injury, and eventually having to give up the game brings to mind Martin Hinchelwood. His lesser talented brother Paul (Doris-bless him) became a very useful full-back and even made it into the England U21 side, a feat that would have easily have been duplicated by his brother. Could Jonesta be destined by the same providence? This is a blight on the game.

Good to see Lee hasn't completely been lost to the game. As for young Jonathan, I hope you're right

Pulis has stated he has plans for him but wants him to get out on loan for regular 1st team football. Even if he did leave (although we turned down multiple permenent offers in January, so highly unlikely) I doubt he would have to give up football given that he is a full international player for Wales.

Never rated Lee Hills.

Although I'm not the biggest fan of Joniesta, there's no way he'd end up at that level. Won't be the big star like some say, but I'd imagine he'll have a similar career to Sean Scannell, possibly a bit higher. Even with his injuries.

I think Wilf Zaha is unlucky.

I believe he would have been banging in goals for us if he hadn't been shipped out to Manure.

Moyes has destroyed his confidence.

His first game for Cardiff was quite good, but the last two games he struggled.

If he had stayed at Palace he would be going to Brazil this summer - I doubt that he will now.

Once Tom Ince came in, Jonny Williams was always going to get less game time which is why Pulis wants him to go out on loan. Though, regardless of whether we stay up or not, Ince will be off somewhere else and Williams can come back jn.

He needs to be played centrally, not out on the wing (Remember the impact he had in the centre against Watford when we came back from 2-0 down).

As for unlucky players, I don't remember him fully but I think Kevin Mabbutt never fulfilled his potential due to injury.

Lee Hills thought he was big time. Poor attitude which is a shame as he could have played at a reasonable level.

As big a fan of Joniesta as I am, I am not sure how / where he fits in at the moment.

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Absolutely bang on about Martin Hinshelwood he was destined for greater things.

two others I really rated Kevin Mabbutt(already mentioned) was on the verge of a 200k move to Arsenal(big money then) when he done his knee.

The other one of course is Mike Elweiss who scored some fantastic goals Newcastle and Leicester come to mind in our 78/79 promotion. I was at Cambridge when he got injured in the December on a dodgy frozen pitch sadly never played for us again.

Did he not have to retire due to knee ligament problems?

Ben Watson.
Poor lad,has just broken his leg in the Wigan vs Barnsley game tonight. Similar injury last year. Pure bad luck.
