Never been more proud to be a Palace fan than I am today. Absolutely terrific job by the manager and players... but I had tears in my eyes listening to our away support as I watched the game. It's the same every week. We have the best fans in the game, and it is not even close.

A lot has changed since I came to the States in 1987. I can remember the days of standing on top of a hill in Massachusetts, trying to hear the Liverpool semi on a world band radio. I can remember driving 200 miles to a friend's place to watch the final. Nowadays, my brother and I text throughout the game, and I see every game live.

I usually just read the board but I felt compelled to post today: our fans are on a different level, and every time I watch a game we are louder than they are. We're even louder when we're 1-0 down, which is a rarity in any sport. Over here, people are starting to take notice of the EPL. I've converted a bunch of my American mates to Palace fans by reminding them we have the right colours, and we have an eagle as our mascot. One of them watched their first game (Chelsea) over at my house last week and the thing that blew them away was our support.

For those of you who get to the games, proud of you all. Your support is creating Palace fans across the world. Brilliant atmosphere, and the best fans in the league. Possibly the best fans anywhere. Cheers.

Also, thanks again for all the work that Guntrisoft, staffie and others at HOL have done to allow us Palace diaspora to be involved. I love the banter and the opinions flowing to and fro. cheer!

We are the goon squad and we're going to town. Beep Beep!

I think I just appointed myself.

Best part for us here in the States is that we get every EPL game as a part of the licensed package on NBC. If you own an iPad, you can watch every game for free. Doubt it's the same in the UK.

You should post more often if you're going to come up with this kinda stuff each time! It's a pleasure to be part of a wider Palace family.
