its amazing to think every place finish is worth an extra 900k.

whatever the outcome, assuming we now stay up...2010 can really try and push on with the extra guaranteed money.

By my amateur calculations, the squad doing well will probably mean an across the board average wage of £20-25k a week soon. Times that by 25 plus wages for the rest and the whole company and then factor in tax and future transfer fee costs then there ain't a massive amount left. And those costs will increase year on year as long as we are in The Prem.

Not enough left anyway to build a really super stadium I'd have thought unless we go to a bank and we really don't want to be doing that.

I suppose if we could get away with doing up Selhurst for £50mill -£60mill over the next four or five years that may work financially.

Anyone know how much new build stands costs these days?

By my amateur calculations, the squad doing well will probably mean an across the board average wage of 15k-20k a week soon. Times that by 25 plus wages for the rest and the whole company and then factor in tax and future transfer fee costs then there ain't a massive amount left. And those costs will increase year on year as long as we are in The Prem.

if we take an average of 20k x 30 players that comes in just north of a 30m wagebill per annum.

If we box clever in the transfer market like we did in january we can sustain being in this league whilst squirreling money away for the future.

the problem we have is not going down the same route that bolton did...they were running at a loss even whilst in the PL.

Would we get this on top of the parachute payment money we still have not recieved (reserved until after the 1st season I believe) which I think was £60 mill.

we only get the parachute payments if we get relegated.

The parachute money is for relegated teams.

We'll receive the amount reserved for the position we finish up in. The three relegated teams will get the payment for coming 18th, 19th and 20th and then payments tailing off for the next few seasons.

I think your average wage is still a little high. The average for the Premiership is distorted by the top earners but for our level the majority will still be under 20k.

i think you may well be right, but i would imagine a lot of our current players will have clauses that wages go up if we survive, i wouldnt be suprised to see jules/ward/dann/jedi/puncheon/ledley/murray/chamakh all earning 20k a week by the start of next season, a few of them probably already earn that.

obvisouly the kids and squad players bring the average down, but its obvious the longer we stay in the PL our wage bill will skyrocket.

Of course...what no one has yet factored into this conversation is ticket sales which will amount to £10-£15m (based on figures SP mentioned recently from memory) as well as sponsorship rights and merchandising....

Ok so as I understand it wasn't £120mil we got from getting promoted as i heard we got half straight away and the rest if we got relegated, so insted we could get £133mil over all for this season.
