I might be wrong but i haven't seen or heard one quote from SP praising the incredible job Tony Pulis is doing here. You would think he would be over the moon with what we have achieved. Is it the thought of paying the survival bonus that he was reportedly promised or something else. Steve, you should be patting yourself on the back for signing TP, it could turn out to be the greatest managerial appointment in our history, so c'mon how about some praise for Tony the miracle man.

check the HoL Radio podcast from 2 weeks ago when SP was very fulsome in his praise of TP.

I have spoken with Steve recently and I can confirm his and the other shareholders/Director's utter support and unprompted praise for Tony. This thread is not correct.

Palace fan from Kenley, as a kid. Everyone was Chelsea (it was '72) so I was Palace. Thanks Palace for all the fun.

Greatest respect mate but a private conversation is not the same as a media statement.

The four owners many have decided nothing is said about TP in public about the great job he's done until its mathematically impossible to go down.

As Palace supporters they all know about the past painful happenings in the PL.

They also may feel saying too much in public takes the limelight away from TP and looks like they are going for all the publicity. We've seen it in the past from many chairman of different clubs looking like they want the publicity for the clubs achievements.

It will be all about getting the balance correct when making any announcements.

Surely, the issue is Palace's survival in the Premiership? When it's confirmed there will be time a plenty for congratulations all round. There is also the small matter of 4 remaining league games as well as the Tan complaint to resolve too. Plenty of things to keep TP and SP busy.

He will be delighted to have to pay any bonus that was promised for survival... The club are significantly bigger winners financially than TP.

Im really not concerned if SP doesn't publically praise the manager and not sure what effect it has either way.

It's clear to all what a fantastic job he has done without SP's adulation surely.

To be fair, how often do you hear the owners of clubs talking about them? It tends to be the more self-absobed ones a la Tan, that get the attention.

Personally, I'm grateful to have lifelong fans who also happen to be successful businessmen in charge rather than a sugar-daddy who just wants the world to see how good he is.
