Could it be us? With our new found stability and untapped potential, we are an extremely attractive proposition to foreign investment. Having said that, this season shows that you don't need an Arab or Oligarch to compete in this league.

I don't think it would be us and I wouldn't want it to be.

I suspect it is a way of getting Sheffield Wednesday to be more realistic about how much they want for the club. Were it to be true then I imagine it could be Palace or West Ham as I'm sure that both would be for sale if the price was right. Outside the Premiership QPR have too much debt and no one in their right mind would tough Charlton or Millwall. Perhaps Brentford or Orient? I'd much prefer organic growth with the current owners even if it means yo-yo between the Premiership and the Championship. Most important for me is that I don't get priced out of a season ticket, which has happened to friends of mine who support Chelsea, Spurs and Arse.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

We are in the Premier League, that site is saying Championship so very unlikely to be us.

Hope not. I love the fact we are owned by genuine fans. If foreign owners came in they would sack TP and replace him with Pablo Whatshisface, change our strip to blue and white stripes and rename us Norwood Eagles

Personally, I don't think the owners would sell, unless the deal was right for them and for the club, i.e. new owners not buying on debt and with the clubs interests at heart.

I doubt it's us, as it would be a massive increase in investment from Wednesday to us. That said I predict this thread will run and run with the usual conspiracy theorists stoking the fire.

Charlton's owner just turned that club into a Standard Liège development squad, so can't imagine it's them. Would someone sink a substantial investment into the Milldew?

The thing is we would be worth alot of more now, than we were a season a go. If they were interested in Sheffield Wednesday. It looks like they are interested in a championship club to build up, i suspect Milwall or Brentford.

I would be happier if/when we are bought that Parish or Browett remain as chairman to keep us grounded. The last thing we need is a Tan/Venky situation. I have no doubt we will be bought out in the future. Especially if we establish outselves in this league.
I'm tough. I'm ambitious. I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, I'm OK with that. |
