After watching Chelsea use all the professionalism's of time wasting, deliberate fouls and just plain old boring stuff any attack by putting all your players in front of goal and then two sucker punch goals I was sad for football.
With Man City and Liverpool continuing to play attractive, open football and their recent game was everything good about the game I really am torn with us possibly giving the title to Chelsea!

Who do you think deserves the title?

Perhaps if we beat Liverpool and deny them the opportunity to be Champions then TP will be proclaimed Manager of the Year?!!! It's a nice thought.

I'm not really torn between Man. City and Chelski but I can't see the latter beating an in form Real Madrid side in the Champions League final if they do get through tonight.

Denial is not just a river in Egypt!

Whoever gets most points/ best goal difference deserves it. Style of football or tactics is immaterial.

In the woods there grew a tree. And a fine fine tree was he.

Exactly. People all season have talked about our resolute defending and the fact we've scored very few goals. People have said that we waste huge amounts of time. Does that mean we don't deserve to stay up? Of course it doesn't. We have got the points we need because we played to our strengths. If Chelsea wins the league because they've got the most points at the end of the season or if they win the champions league because they've won the most games then good for them. If its Liverpool then they deserve it. If its Man City then they deserve it.

"Football in this moment is full of philosophers, people who understand much more than me. Amazing.

"But the reality is the reality. A team that doesn't defend well doesn't have many chances to win."

Good point Jose.

Whoever comes top will deserve the title.

Agreed. We don't always look pretty, but so long as the points are on the board I'm happy.

TBH I couldn't disagree more with the sentiments expressed here. Writing off Mourinho on the above basis is the same as all the rubbish that's been written about Pulis over the years. Sports is about winning, not aesthetics, and until they start giving football teams marks for artistic impression, the team with the most points will deservedly win the title. Watching Mourinho time and time again outwit managers of supposedly more attractive (sic) football teams is hilarious. I mean Tan claims we knew all about Cardiff before the match. Do you think anyone in Liverpool didn't know Chelsea were going to park two buses at least a week before the game? Yet despite this, Rodgers was completely unable to devise a tactical plan to break it down despite having a side that included Luis Suarez, arguably the most dangerous individual attacking player in the country. Sucker punch goals my backside; that was victory by tactical design if ever I've seen it and Jose has done it time and time and time again. If you can't find entertainment in his sheer expertise then I'd recommend League 2 football; all blood, guts and attacking intent.

Man Citys net spend since 2009 - £490m

Liverpools - £90m

City are a disgusting example of everything i hate about football.

They have earned none of their success.

Arguably they deserve the title, after all they paid a lot of money for it

Couldn't care less who wins the premier league - Liverpool has always been a horrible plastics team and probably invented the concept of 'plastic fans' back in the 80s, where as I know few Chelsea fans and a Man City fan who actually supported their clubs when they were s**t.

Anyone but Liverpool.

Completely disgaree - They can play that way because they spend an absolute fortune on wages, and then slate anyone who sets up anyone who deploys tactically to defeat them. Too many people seem to be enthralled by the thrill of the goal, but cannot seem to take pleasure in watching a good defence.

Rule 101 of Modern Football - Its about NOT conceeding goals. Managers who set out teams to score their way out of trouble invariably fail unless they can afford to spunk fortunes on a first XI of the best in the world.

Liverpool are doing well this season, on the basis of Sturridge and Suraez both having great seasons and avoiding injury. Their defence is poor, their midfield bar Coutino dull. They're largely lucky this season that both players have been in their best form and scoring for fun.

But thats a luxuary most teams never have, because if you do have those kind of players, Liverpool/Man City/Chelsea/Arsenal/Man Utd will just buy them from you.

Its like Man Utd last season, those goals from Van Persie covered up the weaknesses that were oh so apparent this season. Man Utd aren't any worse this season than last, they just miss the one player who made the difference.
