Just been advised about this having been published on Liverpool FC's official website:- Supporters travelling to Selhurst Park for Monday night's game at Crystal Palace should be aware that no flags or banners will be allowed inside the stadium. Anyone trying to take flags or banners into Selhurst Park will have their items confiscated. Does this just relate to the away supporters ? - Action taken by Police or us as a club as seems rather hypocritical bearing in mind displays by The Fanatics Edited by lauriescott1 (02 May 2014 7.48pm)

its to stop them sharpening the ends and lobbing them at our fans, whereas the HF boys would need to be tessa or Fatima to even attempt it!

Any Palace fans are supposed to have permission from the club to take in flags (on a pole at least). I had trouble getting one in for the Chelski game (bought in the club shop at that). The HF have permission. Personally I think flags etc. would look awesome throughout the ground (obviously still ban the away section though). I think it's about time the club relaxed the rules & encouraged them. Of course one has to bear in mind our fellow fans & wave them at appropriate times so they don't ruin others view.
