Jedi and Geurdiora are pretty much definitly going with Australia and Algeria who else should go?
Ward? England's reserve right backs are shocking
Jules?
Puncheon? (Unlikely in my opinion)

Only Jules. Ward is good but Clyne is better.

I can see Speroni getting a late call up as the quality of Argie keepers is surprisingly average but he'd go as a third choice, would sit on the bench and not play one minute of football.
In that eventuality I'd wonder if he'd want to bother Actually being a squad member and being here would be a great experience I suppose

Is this a joke? Statistically, Ward is the second best full back in the LEAGUE. Clyne cannot command a starting position at his club.

IMO Ward is the form English full back in the game currently, and by some margin. Only Cashley is technically better due to his experience but his powers are waning.

Ward is 10x better defensively then Clyne and Clyne is not much better going forward then Joel.

In fact statistically, there are a only handful of full backs in the entire world game rated higher than Ward right now and arguably, many of these players play in more advanced positions:

Ricardo Rodriguez - Wolfsburg
Matthew Debuchy - Newcastle
Juan Guillermo Cuadrado - Fiorentina
David Alaba - Bayern
Layvin Kurzawa - Monaco
Seamus Coleman - Everton
Gonzalo Castro - Bayern

I guarantee that every name above would be starting for their countries if they made it to the World Cup.

But I'll bet that Ward isn't even in the squad.

England

Would love to see Jules there, only other player with a slight chance is Wardy because Walker might be injured for it

Football isn't played with stats. Used to infuriate me after we lost a game under Holloway and he'd say, "Well I look at the stats and I have no idea how we've lost the game."

I love Ward but he is not ready to be thrust into a major tournament.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Why?

Stats for a team can be played any way you want them to be, but for a player, it's pretty comprehensive and unmistakeable. At one point early in our journey this season (and even under Horroway), Joel had technically not lost a tackle he had attempted. We were a dozen games or so in.

You can discount statistics all you like, but that tells a story.
