Someone mentioned it on the crap but you liked them thread, so I've started this one off.

Dougie Freedman for me I'm afraid, lazy, arrogant and always quick to moan and blame others.

And yes I did think that before he jumped ship to Bolton

Andy Gray. Given the chance by Palace. He took it well and went on to play for England. But then turned his back on the club in an arrogant way. Villa took him on (to replace another Andy Gray I think). But he let them down too.

Rubbish Adrian. I think your memory is scrambled.

My memory must be scambled too then. I feel exactly the same as Adrian. I remember the situation as Adrian said it.

If I was to name them all, I'd be here all night.
But to simplify matters:
Anybody who has played/is playing for
Leeds Utd.
Chelsea
Liverpool
West Ham
Leicester City
Southampton (but not Le Tissier)
Nottingham Forest
QPR (but not Rodny Marsh or Stan Bowles)
Charlton
Brighton
MK Dons
Marseilles
Rangers
unless they've also pulled on a Palace shirt after seeing the error of their ways(but not if going in the opposite direction.

I meant palace players!!

I agree with you about Stan Bowles and Rodney Marsh though, I loved them when I was a kid even though they were QPR

Well, there are a lot fewer of them, at least!

Steve Kember(2nd spell)
Alan Pardew -and I like him less & less as time goes on.
Hayden Mullins
Terry Venables

Well that's how I remembered Andy Gray, Dixie. I came to the ground quite late one match day and saw Gray roar pass in a flash car. Later that week Ron Noades mentioned something about it. But, if you have a clearer view and more information on this, then please post it. I really wouldn't like to diss a bloke incorrectly.

I understood that Andy had a first stint at Palace, did ok, went to Villa, came back to Palace and was brilliant. He won a cap for England and then got transferred to Spurs. Some of his performances during the second stint were astonishing and he was a vital part of that successful team.

Andy Gray was excellent for us, well apart from his free kicks that always used to fly into the crowd time and time again, lol in fact I can never make my mind up between him and Peter Nicholas for my all time team.
All I remember is he wasn't very complimentary about us once he'd left, he had a pop at us when he was at villa if my dodgy memory remembers right, but while he was with us he was fine I think, I'm pretty sure he was a really popular player.

I personally do not think he was a good player, although I know others will disagree....

Simon Rodger.

What a t***...

At the 1990 Re-run match organised by Geoff Thomas, I was waiting at the dressing room door after the game with my son and his mate, on the off chance that we may get some autographs.

Simon Rodger comes out... we asked if we could have his autograph, but he pushed his way past saying that he had boots in his hands!

Contrast this with Sir Alex Ferguson who came out had a chat with the boys and signed autographs for everyone!

Class from the knight of the realm.

Rodger you were s*** mate!

A new era of total football is on the way to Selhurst Park!!
