Whilst the idea is sound I think the practical side still has some way to go. Tesla have been at the forefront of technology for some time but behind the hype, reliability is a major issue. I may be wrong but I think it will be a good ten years before this really works. Then of course there is the question of just how much sun is need d to generate electricity the dignified don't even enter in the game

Solar energy that can be stored on batteries has been around ages, unless this box encourages people to go off grid in which case this must be unbelievably efficient. I expect energy companies to dig their heels in & the government to tax users heavily to offset the losses incured by said energy companies. The mountains are calling & I must go.

Solar energy that can be stored on batteries has been around ages, unless this box encourages people to go off grid in which case this must be unbelievably efficient.

I expect energy companies to dig their heels in & the government to tax users heavily to offset the losses incured by said energy companies.
