The pub land lord stood up in South thanet against Nigel Farage! Wouldn't it be great to have a crystal palace political party for a local election and using the clout of the support to gain a majority and take charge of the planning application for the new stadium! Is that actually possible?

Charlton supporters put up candidates when they were trying to redevelop the Valley and I seem to remember they were quite successful in upsetting the balance of power in some wards.

Outside Greater London local councillors are re elected one every year and as result the turn out is usually very low and a few hundred votes can change the outcome in a ward. In London I think all councillors stand for re election at once every so many years and turn out is a bit higher but sure a 1000 or two votes could still influence outcome in a [articular ward. Just needs a bit of organising / coordination.
