Did anyone see it last night,been saying for years he'll be a world champ. he put De reel down in the 2nd round but to his credit De reel whoe's heart has been questioned came back at Degale. very good fight as normally two south paws does'nt make for a good fight. Chuffed for James,like to see him fight Andrea Ward and Degale wants the fight.

Good shout Rainham,Groves and Degale would be fantastic although i think Degale would beat him like he did in the last fight only for the judges to give the fight to Groves. I'd like to see chunky take on Ward one day though.

As I've said on here numerous times in the past, I've rewatched that fight about three or four times and had DeGale winning, though I can see why Groves got the decision, he was in more control of the fight. I still maintain that it was down to the quality of Adam Booth though, rather than the talent of Groves (at the time). Ward is so far above anyone in that weight range right now, whilst it's good for DeGale to get a big fight it's too soon in my opinion, he's just reached the top, the last thing he needs now is to get dominated and lose right away.

DeGale did well, never easy to win a belt in the US against an American. He should've capitalised on the 2nd round knockdowns in the 3rd though, but he stood off and let Dirrell clear his head. Was very glad he stepped up again in the last two rounds to secure the decision, though I don't know how the Canadian judge scored it 8 points apart!
