Kyle Walker (Suggestion)

I know I may get shot down for this. Now I know that the right back position is one position that doesn't really need strengthening as we have Joel Ward there, who has in my opinion been one of the best players over the past 2 seasons. But with Tottenham announcing that Kyle Walker is surplus to requirements following the signing of Kieran Trippier and Marriapa probably leaving for Watford, I can't help but think that this maybe an opportunity to bolster our options. He's one player I've enjoyed watching over the past few years and think that he could bring something to Palace as we try and improve our status as a top half Premiership squad. His wages maybe a stumbling block but feel this definitely worth a shout.

Certainly very quick and is good coming forward, indeed in his early days he was a forward.I have seen him score with a brilliant free kick from outside the area.Defensively he can be caught out by quick movement in the area.Big Sheff Utd fan and his family are 'Blades' fans.In fact Tottenham signed him from Sheff Utd in a £9 Mill deal which also included Kyle Naughton.

Yedlin has been linked with a Loan move to Norwich. Yedlin really struggled to defend in MLS let alone in the PL. He's a quality wing back but isn't strong enough in the tackle or the air to be a Palace full back.

Kyle Walker was at Sheff Utd at the same time as Sun Jihai. Gary Speed was also there at the time. I might be wrong but I think Kevin Blackwell handed Walker his 1st team debut for the 'Blades'. Edited by Willo (21 Jun 2015 12.41pm)

Random facts. Kyle walker shares his first name Kyle, with Kyle naughton. Both full backs graduated into the Sheffield United first team around the same time and both signed by Tottenham. Surprised you missed this one Willo.
