He's only 16, so they cant offer him a long-term contract but they can offer a pre-contract with a long-term contract clause written in, then when he reaches 17 give him the long-term contract.

Matthew played against the team I coach last season at u16 level. We could tell then he was special.

During the summer he signed for Ballymena Utd from Linfield to play reserve team football. And of course he got his chance in the first team almost straight away.

Young Matthew grabbed the opportunity with both hands and hasnt looked back. Make no mistake about it, the Irish Premier League is the type of league full of Crazy Gangs, the standard may not be the best but players give everything on the pitch. And for Matthew to go toe to toe with 30 year old bruising centre backs, who dont give you an inch.

Thanks for that Gambler, I love all the Willoism's here's another.

In 1923, jockey Frank Hayes won a race at Belmont Park in New York despite being dead — he suffered a heart attack mid-race, but his body stayed in the saddle until his horse crossed the line for a 20–1 outsider victory.

Nice try Jim, but lacking in banality to be considered a true Willoism.

Listening to local radio over here, bid has been rejected but they are expecting Palace to go in with a higher offer.
