If you're looking for the 'good guys' out there, I think it will be a long and fruitless search. There's only the the horrible, the barbaric, the scum, the loonies, oh, and the civilians who sit in the middle getting killed by all of the above.

I've posted this picture many times before.. but it is so apt. The middle east has been a hotbed of violence, corruption, squalor and confusion for centuries. Mad Mullahs, Mahdi's and Ayatollah's presiding over hordes of tribesmen and traders each trying to gain control over sandy enclaves.
