Yep, the avuncular gay host of quirky but interesting TV panel show QI has decided to call it a day.

His replacement is to be diminuative Dane Sandi Toksvig.

Surprised by that as I'd have thought Phil Jupitas or Bill Bailey would have got the gig.

Still, the format should remain the same and I guess that's the main thing.

Glad to be rid of him.

When I see Toksvic and/or Jupitus on the panel I swerve watching it. What used to be a good, comical & entertaining show seems to have lost its freshness and I think Fry has noticed this and is the first rat to desert the sinking ship.

I'd be amazed if the show makes it to Z now.

Was never going to be a chance of a bloke replacing him.

I've even got a bit bored of Alan Davies saying stupid stuff you know he is just pretending not to understand.

Wasn't it originally meant to be Eddie Izzard who was going to play the fool but he got a bit too famous for being clever so they found someone else?

Alan Davies, in my opinion, looks like he is coked up to the eyeballs a lot of the time.

Phill Jupitus is really bad on there. The unfunny tangents he goes on are just awkward to watch, same as Johnny Vegas.

Like all comedy panel shows, women just make it less funny.

I kinda hope he is. It's the least he deserves after the masterpiece that was Jonathan Creek.

I think Sue Perkins does okay... but Toksvig.........COMPUTER SAYS NO!

The worst panellist is/was Rich Hall.... most unfunny.

Agree with Stuk.... show is doomed to failure.

I am unable to tell if this is sarcasm or not?

Well, you havent seen the panel for the last show in the series yet...for which I was part of the audience...some random African comic who was utter shyte!!

Bill Bailey, Johnny Vegas and Sean locke have been the best panelists.
