Interested to hear from anyone that has one and whether it's good or not... Or from anyone who has a better alternative suggestion (Netatmo etc)?

Our current one is useless as it doesn't have any programmable options, so in definite need of an upgrade.

Cheers

Its only of use if you have a gravity fed system with immersion. The ability to turn the hot water on remotely is a great feature (not sure if they have the location based triggers set up yet as they do on Nest)Otherwise if you have a combi its of no real use

Had this problem the other week, and gave it great thought about getting Hive or another wireless thermostat. In the end i settled on this which gives me a room temperature, and if it drops below 19 degrees,i can manually turn up the heating.Saving £200.

At my last Boiler service the BG engineer tried to sell me this feature for about £200 as I recall.

I never leave the house due to illness, and the boiler on/off switch is currently about 4 foot from my hand as I type this message.

I asked him what would be the sense in getting my mobile to send a message to a satellite miles above Earth for it to then send a message back to my Boiler to switch itself on for an additional £200 when I can simply press a button on the actual boiler?
