Could be banned from the Olympics for systematic, state-supported doping.

My money is on the Gold and Bronze 800 m runners. One of them beat Semenya for crying out loud.

Sadly this is not a great surprise, it's been going on for ages, some of the times East German girls ran are just crazy, so Kathy Cook who was one of finest athletes of her generation has a nth of the medals and records she should have.

The problem is that rather than addressing the problem, Russia will claim it is just The West ganging up on them. Feel a bit sorry for Seb Coe, and I never thought I would say that!

There is no way that doping is restricted to cycling and athletics.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Not to mention Flo "I retired the week out of competition testing was announced, while in my prime" Jo.

Rugby is a sport with one of, if not, the biggest number of steroid users.

No surprise at all. I'm sure a large proportion of athletes are taking drugs. The Russians are known to have been at it since the 60's at least. Drug testing is laughable.

Indeed, you can almost hear the soviet style Izvestia presses beginning to roll.

Of course, the WADA report now brings the IOC into play (which everyones' old friend Sepp Blatter is a member of), becuase there is no way on Earth the ruskies are going to allow the Olympics to take part in their country if they can't play too.

It is all going to get very very messy! And given Putin's old-KGB view of the world, I shouldn't be surprised if there isn't the odd dead body to be found somewhere in the future.

Taking the bungy jump since 1964. Never to see John Jackson in a shirt again

Sorry to see Lee Hills go, did we ever see Alex Marrow? We did January 2013

I suspect that's why we didn't hear about this before Sochi.

If the IAAF or IOC had banned them from 2012, they'd hardly have wanted to host the most expensive winter Olympics ever. At that sort of short notice they'd have probably had to cancel it altogether.

There might be an element of truth to that. Take the 100m for instance, logically I bet most top sprinters find a way to cheat. It stands to reason.

Slippery rusky gits. There's been an awful lot of nonsense going on with the Russians in the last 12 months or so, quite concerning.

a known dope pusher goes to jamaica to be their coach. suddenly, in short order, they have 3 of the fastest men in the world. usain bolt is lauded a rarely gifted runner. ok.

no one inquires at all. i think the jamaican women are in on it now and starting to dominate. no questions asked by the doping authorities. a joke.
