Pleased with this. Didn't want him to get trialled by media but after hearing all the evidence in court I was surprised at the original verdict.

They need to revisit the case of Shrien Dewani... the Indian guy from Bristol that took his wife on holiday to SA for their honeymoon and thought it a treat to visit a township in a taxi. His wife got killed, but "luckily" he escaped. The taxi driver was involved in the murder plot and implicated the husband, but the prosecution case crumbled. Very odd to take your wife to a violent township in a taxi, see her killed and escape yourself? Usually the mantra of murderers is "Dead men tell no tales!"

Assuming he looses his appeal - if any made - and he gets the full minimum sentence then will go some way to repair the damage done to the S.A. legal system by the original ludicrous verdict.

is this the sort of thing he can appeal and re-appeal? Hope not and he goes down for a long time. Glad someone had the foresight to re-look at the case which should have been nailed-on guilty first time.

He might as well start breaking all those stipulations put on his house arrest. He's probably done a bottle of whisky already this morning.
