Just got this from Southern Rail, gonna be tough getting up to our two home matches against Swansea and Chelski :- We'd like to bring to your attention that from 10pm on 24 December to 4am on 4 January the main railway line between East Croydon and Redhill will temporarily close while Network Rail carries out major engineering work at Purley. This work involves essential track renewals, bridge repairs and the replacement of signalling and power equipment in the area.

I can never understand why they don't do engineering works during warmer, quieter summer months when the days are longer.
