I'm 20 and I can honestly say that if there's one thing that makes me wish I'd been born 30 years earlier it's the thought of seeing The Clash in action

gotta be honest and say I never did worship at the Strummer altar and didn't quite get it the Clash fandom obsession but the fact that he is so well thought of still must mean I have missed a trick.

I even bought 'give 'em enough rope' on its first release but i dunno - it just didn't happen for me.

I fookin' loved The Stranglers though and still do.

What about this track Kernit... [Link] Each to their own Kermit but I grew up seeing The Clash during my teenage years and loved every gig, incredible live band, not musically perfect but the energy and passion was second to none. Loved The Stranglers as well.Happy days.... Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Probably went to a lot of the same gigs Ollies Dad Ash.
I wasn't really into The Clash either to be honest, but pretty much went to 3/4 Gigs a week back in the day. I always seem to remember The Slits supporting The Clash for some reason. I think I probably saw every major band or artist of that era. The Skids, Adverts, Vibrators, Stranglers, Eater, Jam, Buzzcocks, Ruts, Damned...Etc Etc. I was a mad drinker & loved to take copious amounts of Amphetamine Sulphate (Blues)back then. Those were the days!!!!

They are still very, very good live Kerm. Saw them this year and seeing them again in March. Shame that Jet Black isn't able to do a full set because of his health problems. No More Heroes.....

We could have been po-going down the front together Jimenez. I remember The Slits supporting at The Lyceum on at least 2 occasions in 1978, maybe more. That was the beauty of The Clash they always had good support bands,The Specials,The Jam,Whirlwind. The Meteors, pretty sure Sham did as well. In 1984 at Brixton Academy my mates band,Under Two Flags had 2nd support slot! Ollie's Dad,Ash.

Thanks ODA. Energetic track for sure. But no hairs on the back of me neck standing up

'Babylon's Burning' similar vibe but better in me 'umble.
