Southampton away travel 9th January

Just a head's up no trains between basingstoke and Southampton central. Bus service only, time added aprox 40 mins on journey. Shall be going via Salisbury route from basingstoke. If unsure check on national rail enquires.

I go the other way via gatwick
Lots more stops but I don't think it's 40 mins longer and still takes you into Southampton central

Be going from basingstoke bud just don't fancy being stuck on bus with no beer. I think via Salisbury takes you to back end soton through Redbridge.

I know someone mentioned this on another thread but I cant find it to update it.
They said that busses were being laid on from Basingstoke to Southampton due to rail works

Just heard something similar on the local radio down here
That's a lot of busses then and will delay some of you lot getting to the ground on time

I'm not on BBS but perhaps if someone on here who is could mention it to them
Sure they would appreciate it.

Looking at the match once we get to Southampton I do hope it will not be a bad tempered affair. I have seen The Saints play more than once this season and I get the impression that they tend to be a tough bunch and their manager seems not to mind the rough stuff. I do hope our lads will keep their heads and not get drawn into incidents of bad behavior because we do not want anymore suspensions or injuries. I also hope our fans will not look for trouble. Lets have an exciting game of football and move onto the next round of The Cup.

Checked at basingstoke station yesterday. Hourly train from here at 10 mins past hour. Other wise go via Salisbury, one change at Salisbury running about every twenty mins. Plus good night out in Salisbury on way back. Have great day on sat.

Trouble!!! I am going for a good old fashioned F.A cup day out without any violence. Never heard of Southampton being a problem before.
