I can believe he's available. There's very little likelihood he's going to want to stay at Villa when they go down so they might as well cash in now to a team desperate for a forward who may be willing to pay more than in the summer and use the money to rebuild their side. As to whether we want him, yes and no. He hasn't got a bad scoring record in an awful team and he has looked good from time-to-time if not consistently. If we're after a marquee signing and a really proven striker then for me, he's not it. That said, he's better than anything else we have (possibly excepting Wickham) and as a striker in a squad role, he'd be a big upgrade on Gayle or Campbell.

Oh man, this reminds me, I totally forgot had a dream last night that we signed him. Don't ask me why, shows my subconscious has limited aspirations, not really the stuff dreams are made of. Anyway, he played as a back up player for when we got injuries, suspensions or cup games.

BTW if Pards was telling the truth (that we're not looking at any of the strikers we've been linked with) then it seems to me the three we are most likely pursuing are Berahino, Bony and Ayew. Benteke might be a long shot. Those are the strikers who are likely available, suitable, and we've not been mentioned.
