Not a transfer rumour alas Griffiths (51 goals for Celtic) and Commons (9 goals this season and experienced scorer even at international level) are MAYBE more realistic transfer targets to address Palace forward options.

Celtic wouldn't want to sell but such a move would be professional step forward for one or indeed both players. More within our price range as well?

What do folk think?

What ? God No !

Bournemouth would be embarrassed to sign them never mind us.

I'd be embarrassed if we signed them if we were in the Championship, especially Griffiths. Commons was decent once but he's no spring chicken anymore.

I'm actually embarrassed for you that you can't see that those two never are or never were Prem quality.

I actually am hoping your suggestion is tongue in cheek out of the despair the constant Jan transfer bullsh*t brings !

Got to agree with they are not good enough, Commons had been kicking around for ages in Championship before coming alive at Celtic. Griffiths has done well at Celtic but remember how good Gary Hooper looked and what has he done since. That is even if Griffiths fitted our style.
Would not say everyone from Celtic would be bad in the premier would have taken Wanyama and the jury is still out on Van Dijk.
Three people with Irish flag saying Celtic players are not good enough has to say it all.

Admittedly, I am feeling the despair of not one transfer purchase at present when the need for new blood up front is unbelievably apparent. Am also mindful of craziness of transfer market and player wage demands although now that Southampton have miraculously got Austin for £4m, anything seems possible.

Ususally when an SPL player signs for an Premiership club he turns out to be sh1te. That's because the SPL is, well, sh1te. The only way an SPL player could show evidence of being of the required standard would be to shine on the international stage and most of them are Scottish so that's about as likely as winning a Michelin award by serving pigsh1t pie.

It would appear from the article that this is well seen in Selhurst.

I'd be delighted if we signed Leigh Griffiths although I'm slightly biased by being a Hibs fan. He was immense for us when we had him on loan and it grates every time I see him in a celtic top.

But trying looking at this objectively, I think he'd be a good signing. He's direct, a great finisher, very good technically, and has a great scoring record (albeit in a sh*te league). He's also grown up a lot in recent years and seems to have learnt from his mistakes.

Signing him wouldn't solve all our problems but we'd probably get him for £2mn odd which seems like good value relative to £8mn for Wickham. If still hope we sign a proven striker like Remy as well although doing so is still difficult.

Not fussed about Commons. Used to be ok but no better than Mutch or Lee. Hope someone else buys him to annoy Celtic fans though.

Nope - I am going to hold myself as more resolute this time. Both players know serious goal action and at European level.

I can't help thinking if he were that good Scotland would be going to France.
