If they win the title is that greatest managerial achievement in premiership history? In top flight history?

Nah they can f*** off. I seriously do not like Leicester at all. Brian cloughs forest eclipse them easily. As do arsenals invincibles. And mourinhos first Chelsea team. Leicester, if they win, will have won by default. The league is absolutely awful this year.

No it's not.

The standard from the usual top teams has been awful.
Spurs make top 4 and teams like Southampton and West Ham still could.

Arsenal went the whole season unbeaten, we will never see that again will we?

It's a fantastic achievement no doubt but this is a freak season at the top of the league.

The usual top 4 or 5 teams have been so inconsistent it's unbelievable. Manure with that melted welly faced LVG in charge are going nowhere, Arsenal are just doing what they usually do and aiming for 4th, Chelsea have been a joke and Citeh, well Christ knows what's going on there.

None of the teams mentioned above will be as bad or inconsistent next season, Leicester won't finish anywhere near top 4 next season.

Like I say great achievement but it'll be the usual suspects up there again next season, quality wise this season has been possibly the worst premier season ever, entertaining though!

That just goes to show how bad we must be if we are sliding down the table of a really poor league

It makes our failure to capitalise on a good start even more galling.

Agreed. I can't remember the last time we were so completely outclassed (was it away at Man City?) but have failed miserably in our inability to close down a game or make the most of our goal scoring opportunities. Very disappointing. West Ham are on a good run so it will be interesting to see how we fare there

Agreed. The top 4/5 clubs just haven't turned up at all and they lack the quality of previous campaigns. Arsenal seem to always settle for 4th, Chelsea have been found out, Man Utd's golden era is over, and Man City have let the imminent appointment of Guardiola go to their heads.

If Leicester do win the title, they won't be top 6 next season. Still, would be great to see all the plastic fans of said big 4/5 clubs spontaneously combust in the streets while burning their replica shirts.

No, because Blackburn also won the premier league. Its tends to be forgotten, but realistically Leicester achievement is great, but not unique.

It certainly deserves both manager of the year awards though.

Not the same comparison, Blackburn spent big bucks, they were not 10,000/1 outsiders like Leicester

I don't think this Leicester team is at all comparable to Arsenal's invincibles, or the first Mourinho Chelsea team - they were multi-million pound squads, who were always likely to win the league.

I completely agree that they were better sides than this Leicester outfit, but that's not the question;

For me, achievement is essentially comparing expected performance with actual performance, and given what was expected of Leicester this season, this trumps anything I've seen, in the Premiership era certainly.

Arguably the worst Premier league season in terms of standard ever but you cannot take away the achievement of winning the title. To do it over a 38 game season in a very physically tough league and not really drop standards is outstanding. Good Luck to them.

As previously our terrible 2016 is put into even more light considering how poor the league is. In any other season we would not have gained as many points before Christmas and been in the bottom 3 now. Although we may have gone out the Cup which would have meant the players taking the league seriously.
