Pubs Before the West Ham Game

Making my first trip to Upton Park for the game next Saturday. Does anyone know any Good pubs for away supporters? Or is a pint in the ground before the game a better option?

Unless you go with West Ham fans it's best to stay away from the pubs around the ground.
I did 11/12 & 13/14 with West Ham friends between Plaistow & the stadium. Didn't display colours & wouldn't have wanted to but didn't have any problems.
A big guy came into The Victoria in Plaistow on his own wearing a Palace shirt. There was no trouble but he got a bit of abuse & a lot of looks.
I drank in Waterloo last season & then straight onto the Jubilee line, easy.
I know a lot of people do the same around Victoria & jump on the District line.

Thanks for the tips guys. I'll probably head out somewhere on the Jubilee or District line for lunch and a few pints before. Good to know there is somewhere nearby so will hopefully arrive in time for a pint there as well before kick off.
