Has anyone had an email saying there monthly subscription charge will be increasing yet again. This time mine is going up £4.25 a month. In total since October my monthly direct debit has increased over 10% so enough is enough.

Do any of you know what the best satellite/cable supplier would be or the cheapest as I refuse to give sky £100 a month for repeats and dross although I do like the sports 😡

Tell them you're leaving. They don't want to lose the business so they will do you a deal!

Done that and apparently I am already heavily discounted and they couldn't do anything else for me.

Try Virgin - their broadband is 200megs per second on the XL package. Sky, BT or any of the others are nowhere near that speed.

Also you should consider getting an Amazon Firestick for TV, Films and Sport.... just use Virgin for your phone and broadband.

I was thinking an M8 box. What sports do you get with a firestick?

You can stream what sport you like... Palace PL matches, Klitschko fights.

If you're not technically minded you'll need help to set it up.

My nephew is sorting all mine out downloading ES files (whatever they are) and registering the device etc.

He's installing it next weekend.

Till then I'm using Virgin TV package, but will cancel once the firestick is up and running.

3 very quick an easy solutions.

1. Buy a KODI box on ebay for £40 with all add-ons built in. You'll get all Prem matches live. Cup matches, Champs League and everything other than Prem is harder to find. Loads of films and sh1t tv you can quite easily do without. You'll need an ethernet cable to connect to the hub although I don't know a lot about it as I just watch football on my PC or plug that into the tv.

2. Buy a NOW TV box and pay £7 a month I think for Sky Sports. They don't have BT Sport.

3. Subscribe to these fellas. [Link]

£11 a month or do a trial at £4 for 2 days (They leave it on for a day so longer). They have all British satellite channels, all American and Canadian sport and tv ents channels, a SE Asian sports channel and I think the African sports channel which has some of the cup games we struggle to find.

These 3 will all use broadband usage so you'll need an extra allowance or unlimited.

The picture quality is very good on all of these btw.

I am seriously considering scaling back on Sky.
This latest £5 increase is very likely paying for their upgrade to 4K. They are taking the piss out of their existing customers.

Right cancelled this morning, just got a call asking why,I explained they were taking the P#ss. Anyway my £110 monthly subscription is now £43 in all fairness I couldn't refuse that. I have

Movies
Sports
Variety
Kids entertainment
Phone
Broadband
Multi room
Sky go 4 devices

If you push them all the way you will get a good discount (in the end)
