Not a great choice is it but I'm forced to go for the one who isn't a Corbynite. And that's before factoring in the lunatic aide he employed.

London Mayor Elections - The Multi-Coloured C**t Swap.

So far we've had a 'red' c**t and a 'blue' c**t. I think we might end up with an 'organge' or 'green' c**t.

Which one is a Corbynite? If you mean Sadiq Khan then he's about as far away from being a Corbyn supporter as it is possible to be. He's a Blairite through and through and would not be out of place in the more centrist wing of the Tory Party.

Like you I don't think it's a great choice either but I'm forced to go for the one who isn't the son of a multi-billionaire currency speculator, who has lived as a non-dom in the UK to avoid tax and also appears to know very little about the city he wants to be mayor of.

Khan making the promise that he'll freeze fares for four years will win it for him, even though it's completely impractical.

In the days when he was merely an MP, he’d supported the introduction of a Mansion Tax, and the building of a new runway at Heathrow. Now that he was a candidate to be Mayor of London, he was opposed to both.

"I’m not going to apologise," retorted Mr Khan stoutly, "for changing my mind if the facts change!"

One fact that’s changed, of course, is that when Mr Khan supported the Mansion Tax and the new Heathrow runway, he didn’t need to win votes in West London. Now, he does !

Disappointingly there don't appear to be many comedy* candidates standing. The best I can find is somebody standing for the "Cannabis is safer than alcohol" party. I miss the days of the "Party Party", the "No Food Out of Context Party" and the incomparable "Monster Raving Looney Party".

*I accept may people will regard quite a few of the candidates as 'comedy'

Unfortunately it's another election where we will be voting against one of the candidates rather that for the one you like best.

For all of his faults, Sadiq Khan knew who plays at Selhurst Park but Zac Goldsmith had no idea who plays at Loftus Road. Not sure if this says more about Goldsmith or QPR.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Of course the incumbent and number 1 comedy candidate is moving on to bigger and better things

I would like Khan to win because it would be a timely reminder before the next general election of how much damage an extremist Labour administration can create in a short period of time.
