I didn't know the FA took these kind of decisions about referees not referring a match because of certain circumstances. As I take it that every referee supports one team this must be a common occurrence in sorting out what ref is for what match especially at this time of year when it is obvious what team is a rival to another for league positions.

Heard former ref Mark Halsey on talksport this morning saying he was surprised that Michael Oliver reffed our game vs Norwich as he is a massive Noocassel fan!

Referees often aren't allowed to cover matches if they train at a clubs ground either.
