You haven't changed your opinion much since last April Pussay.... Now where did I leave my glasses?...
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

Arcade Fire are probably the best live band I have seen in many a year along possibly with the soon to be no more Bellowhead. Elvis Costello has been around for 40 + years and is entitled to the odd duff moment. Coldplay are massively over rated as are U2 The constant return of dinosaurs like Queen also get my goat.

Sorry, I know it's down to personal taste but I just don't get Arcade Fire. So much fan fare and thats why I bought the album(the Suburbs) and you expect something new, different, edgy or a catchy signature tune - but no, nothing. I find them extremely middle of the road and underwhelming. The sort of band for people who aren't that into music so they can not be pigeon holed into a specific genre while at the same time not look uncool either. A band for an Art Teacher in his mid 40's

P J Harvey Just don't get them
I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like. |

Pretty much all popular music is over rated. That's how record companies sell their product. You like what you like but if you are looking for pure talent then it doesn't often reside in the mainstream. People like to indulge in snobbery about this artist or that but what usually matters to them is making money.

A band for an Art Teacher in his mid 40's The critics love the suburbs, but neon bible and funeral are absolutely miles better. You chose the wrong one. Since we are not limited to british I will go with elvis Presley. A ground breaking debut (for a white act) but thereafter a musicals and cabaret act. The king of rock and roll? Not even close.

I agree the other suggestions, but suspect you may have had a lobotomy to include Dylan. I accept he has chuffed out some dross, especially in last few decades, but, like van Morrison, his output in the 60s and 70s forgives his later aberrations.
