Potentially 8 million paid to Burnley for the free signing. Hardly kicked a Liverpool ball, makes him the most expensive free player ever I reckon with his minutes to wages + fees ratio. Makes the paltry 2.5 we got for Clyne, England's right back, a real kick in the teeth.

Liverpool knew he wasn't a 'free',they just didn't negotiate with burnley. I'm sure they had an estimate of what he'd cost. Also, was clyne a tribunal? I can't remember
