I can't see him being available for this weekend but that doesn't matter... We're buying him for much longer-term than that! I don't think we need to fixate on his availability for Saturday. Wickham will (and should) start.

Whether we sign him or not I'm still amazed we're going into the season with one fit striker, it beggars belief. I suppose it could be worse, we could be Hull.

It wouldn't surprise me if that deal hinges on this one so I'd expect an announcement from Everton and Palace re the players at the same time. So could mean Bolasie may be available for Saturday, though he won't play. We could have bought Benteke a week ago and he'd still be on the bench Saturday anyway.

Benteke been spotted in Sainsburys car park holding hands with Nugent, who is pushing a shopping trolley with Ross McCormack in it, all of whom are chatting with Charlie Austin whose just bought a meal deal of a pheasant and unicorn mayo flat bread, mermaid scale crisps and a bottle of fairy tears to wash it all down. only cost 2.99

Totally agree it's utter incompitance and stupidity having one fit striker. So having stated we want to strengthen the squad so far we have 5 players out and 3 in...I'm not sure how that works either ? Edited by BelfastEagle (11 Aug 2016 12.09pm)
