In his good spell with Villa they were not rubbish they played good football and he had good supply of the ball otherwise how would he get those goals. Palace play 1 forward they don't have number 8 or 10 or attacking number 6 the idea is that the wingers get behind the defence but its old hat teams know how Palace will play. Palace are complacent and will just carry on like it
