Burnt my decking

Exceedingly boring topic of conversation, but my idiot mate left a not-quite-finished disposable BBQ on my wood decking and it's burnt. Anyone got any suggestions as to how to get rid of the burn mark without having to replace it? Have tried scrubbing away with a brush and soapy water to no avail...

Burn your friend..use his ashes as a paint Base and cover the whole lot.

Try sanding down the burnt area gently(remove the black) and then retreating it with whatever you used to coat the decking
|

Sand it down...re seal with a wood sealant. If not...a rug or pot plant over it which your pyro mate pays for.

In 20 years time it'll be the base of a tower block, in a street with more tower blocks, with lots of tenants wishing they'd voted leave when they had the chance, instead of voting for the option of working in the EU at the drop of a hat which of course nearly all of them never will.
