Been chatting with a Forest-supporting work colleague today, who was asking me about Dwight Gayle.

Apparently, there's rumour going around Forest circles that we're showing interest in Lansbury and that a possible swap deal may be one solution.

Lansbury was touted as the Next Big Thing at Arsenal a few years ago and the Forest guy admitted that pretty much anything good on the pitch came through him this season, although he "picks up too many yellows".

FWIW, I think he's a pretty good player and would improve our midfield options in the squad - but don't we need new first team quality players?

I think he's decent, but no better than what we already have...

Think it will be an improvement on Ledley. But if we start with Cabaye and McArthur, he will struggle to get a starting place imo.
