I watched the coverage on BBC2/4 Enjoyed every set I watched....... James Muse and ZZ Top absolutely Smashed It. The others were pretty awesome too. Good start to the festival!

It seemed to me that ZZ Top, who used to be all about a solid, tight groove, now had a drummer playing like the usual double-bass-drum-drummer who was too busy, and their drive and groove was missing.If you compare how they played at Glasto with the recorded versions, yesterday's versions were busier and loose- like a bad covers band who hadn't listened closely enough to the originals and with a drummer who needed to be told to fill less.

All looks pretty tame by today's standards....
