Harry Hill to me seems like watching a medical doctor try to deal with a nervous break down, brought on by the existential crisis of patient mortality and his inability to reconcile his own ability to influence a largely uncaring, hostile universe. Which also describes Harry Hills career path. We're watching a man, front up a face over his crisis and mental break down. As long as someone is watching, or possibly laughing, just one person, the complete breakdown is averted. Its the psychic equivalent of the finger in the psychiatric dyke.
