Apparently back next season with sky and will make guest appearences on the monday night football.

brilliant pundit, great to have him back.

Hated him as a footballer, like him as a pundit.
I also reckon he will be a good manager but will need to learn the ropes rather than jump in at the deep end (like Valencia).

For someone so clearly eloquent and intelligent when it comes to football, it was phenomenally stupid of him to take that role. Good to have him back, he offers great insight.

I stand by my thoughts at the time. I think he had been told that the England job was his when Roy resigned if he had 6 months of successful experience, especially at a continental club.

Just didn't work out spectacularly for him.

I still reckon he felt obliged, as Valencia's owner Lim co-owns Salford with him and the others.

Clearly his ego got the better of him when he decided to take the job. If he's serious about management then he can't afford to do the same again. Should start under the radar in the lower leagues
