Evening,

I'm thinking about getting a large fish tank for my new flat but I haven't kept anything but goldfish in my 27 years, so wondered if any of you keep fish (fresh water) and what species you find to be better than others?

I'd like a relatively low maintenance set up and I'm quite keen on loaches and/or discus, but are these aggressive when placed with fish similar to your average goldfish?

Puns aside I have kept fish ,or rather water for many years . The Fish are just a side issue it is the art of keeping water that is the important factor in the hobby .

Fresh water zebra danios - peaceful, mix well with other fish, hardy and if you get a group of a dozen or so they are like a gang of delinquents - most entertaining when they all go on a mad dash round the tank!
