I agree with the above regarding Middlesbrough. I really think they will struggle. I am entirely neutral regarding Boro, I don't wish relegation on them for any reason, but I can't see them surviving. I also think Sunderland will go down (easy to say when they are on 1 from 6, I realise). Other than that the other team to drop would be either Hull or Stoke for me. Stoke should have the experience to stay up but you never know.

I genuinely don't see us going down, but wouldn't rule us out of the occasional flirt with the bottom three, especially if injuries come along. Sadly I don't think West Ham will be anywhere near the drop by the end of the season either. I also think Burnley will survive.

I feel a bit indifferent about Bournemouth just like Middlesbrough.

Have you got any reason for it? Not that you need one.

Sometimes I want teams to go down and have virtually no reason. I like to see teams go down that have had prolonged spells in the Premier League purely because it mixes it up a bit. I was glad to see Villa go down but only because they'd spent so long in the top flight.

As an aside, the turnover in the Premier League has actually been pretty good since it was formed in 1992. I'm sure someone will tell me the exact number, but I think something like 48 or 49 different teams have played in the Premier League in that time. 48 out of 92 teams in the top 4 tiers isn't bad.

with this sam allardyce scandal they now have eddie howe favs to get the england job 5/1 which in turn with howe leaving will send bournemouth down but on the flip side guess who is 2nd fav ..... yes pardew at 6/1 not good

Yeah, you're right and I think that's something worth thinking about in terms of Sunderland. With Middlesbrough (who actually aren't currently bottom three) I think they'd have to do quite a bit to bring themselves up to standard. I'd happily be proved wrong though, I wouldn't begrudge them survival. Of course, all of this is conjecture. It's like the Grand National, even the favourites can be taken out by an obstacle.

It's hard to play, or even train, while looking over your shoulder to make sure the manager's not gone somewhere...
